William Comstock (1943 - 2016)

William P. "Bill" Comstock, III, age 73 died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at his home in Inglis, Florida, after bravely dealing with ALS, Lou Gehrig's Disease. Loving family and friends were his constant companions throughout his extended illness. Bill was born January 16, 1943, in Ft. Knox, KY to William and Minnie Rae Lyon Comstock.
He has lived in Central Florida for 50 years first working at beautiful Rainbow Springs then joining Glen Lau Productions, an outdoor filming company, where he was involved in many phases of production.
After retiring, he devoted his time to family, hunting, and his lifelong interest, waterfowl.
Bill was a renowned duck and turkey taxidermist.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Heather, brother, Skip (wife Sandy), sister-in-law, Gail Archibald, and grandson, Danny Walrath.
He is survived by Christie, his wife of 30 years, and their combined families; son, Billy (Lori), daughter, Deana; grandchildren Kevin, Keyan, Ryan and Elana; step-daughter Kim (Kyle) Hill; brother-in-law, Skip (Lou) Archibald; nieces and nephews: Stephen (Linda), Jennifer (Harry), Beth (Rob), Scott (Brookie), Bill (Eileen), Jill (Chuck) and James (Julie) and their children, all of whom were treasured family members. He is also survived by nieces Melissa and Beth (Ray) and their wonderful family: Caleb, Maddox, Ryleigh, Lyric, Siri, and Ember. Additionally, sister in law, Diane (Danny) Racz, and their family: Stacey, Michelle, Laura and Bud and sister-in-law, Clare Mead and her children, Edward and Kim.
Bill was thankful for his many friends who shared their adventures and waterfowl projects through texting and photographs. With Tony Gilyard's ongoing help, Bill was able to spend many happy days in his taxidermy studio with the waterfowl projects he so dearly loved.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Center of the Nature Coast, Crystal River, FL.
