William "Skip" Edward Hoyer, 91, Floral City, died Dec. 19, 2012, at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice. Mr. Hoyer was born April 28, 1921, in Baltimore, Md., to the late Joseph and Elma Hoyer Sr. and came to this area from St. Petersburg in 1984. He retired from General Electric Co. as a foreman with 26 years of service, served our country in the U.S. Army, and was a member of VFW Post 4337 and Eagles Lodge 3992.
He is survived by his two sons, Bruce (Mary) Hoyer of Dudley, Ga. and Scott Hoyer of Floral City; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his loving companion of 21 years, Yourth Burke. His wife Janice preceded him in death in 1990.
As per Skip's request, there will be no services. Cremation under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
