Archie McKinley Wilson Jr., 90, Lecanto, Fla., died Feb. 13, 2014, at his residence in Brentwood. Archie was born March 28, 1923, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Archie M. Wilson Sr. and Mildred L. Wilson. He served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing his guitar throughout his lifetime, entertaining fellow troops during his service time in WWII. He was employed as a superintendent for an aircraft parts manufacturing company, Steel Products, a division of Kelsey-Hayes. He was known in his household as "Mr. Fix-it" especially when it came to lawn mowers.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Judith Ann Wilson, Beverly Hills and Dotty and her husband Marvin Small, Homosassa; his sister, Beverly Frye, Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Velma Jane and three brothers, Roger, Garner and Richard.
The family invites friends to join them at a celebration of Archie's life at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Hernando Church of the Nazarene. The family will greet friends in visitation from 10 a.m., until the hour of service. Immediately after the service, military honors will be rendered. Inurnment will take place privately at Florida National Cemetery. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
