Mazie Marie Welch, 88, Inverness, Fla., passed away March 30, 2014, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus Co. Mazie was born in Massillon, Ohio, on Nov. 8, 1925, to the late Arthur and Margaret Flory. She moved to Citrus Co. in 1950 where she met and married her late husband, Richard "Dick" Welch. They were married 40 years. She was a member of the Inverness First United Methodist Church. Mazie was a wonderful wife and mother, always enjoying her children and grandchildren.

Left to mourn her loss are her four children, "Rick" Welch, Inverness; Brad (Dot) Welch, Floral City; Lori (Steve) Rieser, Inverness; Tina (Randy) Brooks, Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, Carl, Heidi, Amanda, Shana, Sarah, Halston and Brittany; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Welch April 25, 1991; three sisters, Maxine Flory Krabill, March 16, 2014 (her twin), Ruth Hostetler, Alice Swanson; and her brother, Arthur Flory Jr.
Mazie's life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Kell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are being accepted by Hospice of Citrus County and Florida Baptist Children's Home, P.O.
