Lucille Kikuchi, who provided advice and support to hundreds of readers of her columns in the Sun Newspapers, left the mortal coil to join God in heaven the afternoon of April 20, 2014. We asked her to go easy on Him but we suspect that she will immediately point out a few of His minor oversights and, like the good Dutch lady she has always been, begin sorting things out and cleaning things up. Please be warned that things are about to change and minor infractions will probably be recorded and only rarely forgiven.
Born June 17, 1918, Lucy had a long life; a long career woman in an age that initially made a career outside the family difficult for a woman. She leaves behind the memories of her childhood in Muskegon Michigan, her influence on art and architecture in Chicago Illinois, her many friends and acquaintances in Beverly Hills, her son, Michael Quinn, her two foster sons, Robert Gibbons and Brian Myers, her sister, Ethel Rasure Sharpe, her grandchildren, Ashlinn and Kevin Quinn, and her two great grandchildren, Keanu and Joaquinn Quinn.
We love you Lucy and are glad that God will have you at His side. We know it won't be easy for Him but are glad that you will be there to help. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.HooperFuneralHome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
