Mr. Roger H. Harpin, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed from this world on April 25, 2014. He was born Aug. 22, 1947, in Brooksville to H.D. "Jim" and Lula Harpin and spent his entire life in central Florida.
Survivors include wife of 47 years: Ellen Harpin, Lakeland, Fla., three daughters: Kathy (Carmen) Fezzie and Julie (Shawn) Windham, both of Lakeland, Fla., and Deanna (Austin) Burt, Celebration, Fla.; brother: Anthony (Sheila) Harpin, Homosassa; sister: Patricia (Paul) Melnick, Homosassa; a legacy of 10 grandchildren: Jonathan Sickles, Dominic Fezzie, Tiki Windham, Sydney Sickles, Madeline Fezzie, Anna Windham, Elizabeth Fezzie, Catherine Fezzie, Brooke Burt and Bailey Burt; and a niece: Lindsay Melnick. He was a friend to all.
The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Harpin will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with the Rev. Gary Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Stage Pond Cemetery, Inverness, Fla. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
