Lorene Sesco, 91, Lecanto, Florida, died June 4, 2014, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Lorene was born May 25, 1923, in West Union, West Virginia, to the late Clural and Violet (Gaskins) Powell. She was a librarian and retired from the Akron, Ohio school system in 1984. She attended the First Baptist Church of Lecanto and was very active in choir, playing the piano, guitar and teaching Sunday school. She was much loved by her family and all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Willard Sesco; her daughter, Sharon (Fred) Corban; brother, Sherman (Doris) Powell; and sister, Irene Ford; sister-in-law, Betty (Bill) Brooks; two grandsons, Richard (Laura) Doan, Randall Doan; and 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; along with many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delmer Richards; two brothers; a sister; two sons; and a granddaughter.
A funeral tribute and celebration of Lorene's life will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family invites friends to join them in visitation from 1 p.m., until the hour of service. Burial will follow in Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills.
