Evelyn Ruth Mador, 92, of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, died July 11, 2014, at the UHS Pruitt Center, Raleigh, North Carolina.

She was born in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut to the late Phillip L. and Rose (Beauregard) Faucher. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Raymond Mador; and six brothers and sisters.
Educated at St. Ann's Academy, Marlborough, Massachusetts, she was the bookkeeper for the family business, Superior Bakery of North Grosvenordale, Connecticut. She lived most of her adult life in St. Petersburg, Florida. She had a great love for children and later ran a daycare in Winter Springs for many years. She was also fond of her roses, growing many beautiful rose bushes around her house.
She is survived by her three children, daughter and son-in-law Rosemarie and Eivind Egenberg of Hampstead, North Carolina, son, Ronald and wife Jill of Windsor Locks, Connecticut and their children, Katie and Angel Libretto, Kara Mador and daughter Kathleen Ahern of Longwood, and her children Robert Smith of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Cheryl and Guy Carpenter of Cape Coral and Tawna and Steven Hill of Winter Springs. She has four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Zoey, Lilly and Hailee of Connecticut.
The family will receive friends at Strickland Funeral Home Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 17, St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Crystal River. She will be buried along side of her husband at the Florida National Military Cemetery, Bushnell. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.
