Elisabeth J Shippam Obituary
Elisabeth J. Shippam died in Homosassa, Florida of natural causes on August 1, 2014. Born in New York City in 1925 to Joseph A. and Mary Hines, she experienced the Great Depression, World War II, the Space Age and the Digital Revolution. She and her husband of 58 years, Albert T. Shippam, retired from Greens Farms, Connecticut to Homosassa in 1986. She was predeceased by her loving husband in 2006. Elisabeth was a member of the Friends of the Homosassa Public Library, the Sugarmill Woods Women's Club and the Crystal River Women's Club.
She is survived by her two sons, Thomas of Norwalk, Connecticut and Michael of Fairport, New York. In addition her daughter-in-law, Laura and two grandsons, Devon and Austin also live in Fairport, New York.
Her interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Bushnell and will be a private service. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Hospice of Citrus County. Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa. www.wilderfuneral.com.
