Amber Leigh Dye, 16, Inverness, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A funeral service of remembrance will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. at the Vineyard Christian Church in Inverness, with Pastor Greg Kell from Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends in visitation from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Burial will follow in Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City.
A lifelong resident of Inverness, Amber was born July 24, 1991, and attended Citrus High School. To her family and the many friends who loved her, she was known as a bubbly, outgoing and social individual who loved her friends dearly. She enjoyed football and was serving as team manager. She loved music and enjoyed playing tennis. She will be dearly missed by all of the family and friends who loved her.
She is survived by her mother, Audra Dye, Inverness; father, Eloy Vincent Batista; maternal grandfather, Marvin Dye and wife Lisa, Inverness; maternal grandmother, Sheila Dye, of Casselberry, FL; one brother, Austin Dye, Inverness; half-brother, Ryan Batista, of Stuart, FL; aunt, Elissha and husband Glen Schultz, Weeki Wachee, FL; and cousins Brittany, Alexander and Blake Schultz and extended family members. The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
