John G. Kay, 73, of Citrus Hills, passed away January 21, 2010. He was born April 27, 1936, in Evanston, Illinois, to the late John and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Kay. John retired and moved to Citrus Hills in 2000. He thoroughly enjoyed the BGA (Bad Golphers Association) of Citrus Hills, along with fishing and playing cards. He also loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises and train trips. Although he had many illnesses, he was always up-beat and fun to be around, having a wonderful sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 49 years, Marilyn Kay; 2 daughters: Kathleen (Dave) Nusberger of Pell Lake, Wisconsin, and Colleen ( Mark) Russell of Genoa City, Wisconsin; his son, John G. (Mary) Kay of McHenry, Illinois; his sister, Marjorie (Hugh) Triplett of Lake Bluff, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness, with Hospice Chaplain Dan Lyman officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Hospice of Citrus County, P.O.
