Silvio "Sal" Zizzo, 79, of Homosassa, FL, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at his residence. Born December 19, 1930, in New York City, NY, Sal was a retired manager for Burnswick Corp. of NY and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He moved to West Palm Beach, FL, in 1977 and then to Homosassa, FL, in 1991. Sal was also a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church and a bowling instructor for Manatee Lanes of Homosassa for several years.

Sal is preceded in death by his stepson, Michael DeVito. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marie Zizzo of Homosassa; daughters, Kathleen Estrema of NJ and Debra Dorfman of Lindenhurst, NY; stepsons, Dominick DeVito of Howard Beach, NY, Dr. Joseph DeVito of Massapequa, NY, James DeVito of Seaford, NY, and Nicholas DeVito of Coral Springs, FL; 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 6 step-
Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010, at Wilder Funeral Home with a Wake Service at 5:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church.
