Leonard Caflisch Obituary
He was born in Chicago, Ill., on April 27, 1924, to the late Leonard P. and Marie (Amaismeier) Caflisch. Leonard was a movie projectionist in the Chicago area. He and his wife retired and moved to Citrus County in 1994, coming from Deerfield, Ill. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving as a navigator-bombardier. Leonard loved music and was an accomplished violin and clarinet player. He also enjoyed tennis, gardening and playing poker.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Caflisch. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Rosemary. Other survivors include three sons, Robert P. (Kathie) Caflisch of Lake Zurich, Ill., Kenneth L. (Moira) Caflisch of Lake Villa, Ill., and Ronald J. Caflisch of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Heidi A. (Charles) Thorp of Lena, Ill., and Martha M. (Jeffrey) Ellis of Holladay, Utah; seven grandchildren, Shannon Yeaton, Erin Yeaton, Scott Ellis, Karin Ellis, Fiona Caflisch, Isla Caflisch and Rosemary Ellis; and three great-grandchildren, Antonio, Sara and Teagon.
Arrangements are by Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness, Fla.
