William C. Dingman, 90, of Dunnellon, Fla., died May 10, 2012, at HPH Hospice House in Lecanto. William was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Granville, N.Y., the son of Clarence and Annie Dingman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an engineer for Babcock & Wilcox in Lynchburg, Va. He was a member of the Hernando VFW Post 4252.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Dingman, of Beverly Hills, Fla.; son Allen Dingman of Homosassa, Fla.; daughter, Nancy Ritchotte of Milledgeville, Ga.; brother, Raymond Dingman of Palatka, Fla.; sisters, Marguerite Hendrickson and Carol Cazalas, both of Orange Park, Fla.; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mr. Dingman will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. Those wishing to attend may meet at Heinz Funeral Home at 1 p.m. to join the funeral procession.
