Gloria Spencer Gaspard, 69, of Homosassa, Fla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.

Gloria was born in West Grove, Pa., March 27, 1943, to Lacy and Carrie (Gouge) Spencer. A longtime resident of this area, she was a retired director of property appraisals for the Citrus County government with more than 32 years of service. Gloria was also a talented professional photographer and florist.
She is survived by her husband, James Curtis Smith, of Homosassa, with whom she shared nearly 23 years; daughters, Deborah Miller (Rob), Rockford, Ill., Tracy Cummings (Larry Neville), Naples; James' children, Daniel Curtis Smith (Denise), Crystal River, Michael Kevin Smith, St. Petersburg, Marcia Janine Moran (Brent), North Carolina; sister Teri Loriss (Eric), Augusta, Ga.; grandchildren, Alexis, Rebecca Lynn, Zachary, Emily, Bryce, Evan, Corey, Samantha and Phoenix; nephews, Jordan and Justin (Megan) Loriss; and great-niece Elise.
