Leo M. Paquette, 84, of Inverness, Fla., passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Hospice of Citrus County, Inverness.

He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Berlin, N.H., to the late Adolphe and Marie-Louise (Cloutier) Paquette. Leo was a dairy maintenance supervisor and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He arrived in this area in 1994, coming from Enfield, Conn. Leo enjoyed playing pool, loved the seniors center, and spending time with his friends and family, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Yolande M. Paquette of Inverness. Other survivors include one son, Guy P. Paquette of Newington, Conn.; two daughters, Susan (Fred) Frazao of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Pauline (Michael) Griffin of Enfield, Conn.; one sister, Ida (Vitti) Biretta of Cincinnati, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with military honors and burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Wednesday, prior to service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
