Dr. William "Bill" Zopp, 85, of Illinois, died Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was born June 16, 1927, in Hinton, W.Va. He joined the Navy in 1944. He was the minister of Rainbow Lakes Estates United Methodist Church in Dunnellon from 1994-98, where he created the "The Garden of Memory." He then went on to open the Timberidge Community Church in Ocala. His one true passion was stained glass windows. Not only did he do all the windows in the Rainbow Lakes Estates United Methodist Church, he also dedicated his time and talent in doing windows in six other churches as well.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dee; five children; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Anyone whose life was touched in some way by Dr. William Zopp is welcome to join us in honoring his life at 1:30 p.m. March 20, 2013, at the Dunnellon United Methodist Church.
