The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Belen Adams, age 85, of Inverness, Florida, will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Erwin Belgica officiating. Cremation will be under the direction of Hooper Crematory, Inverness, Florida. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Mrs. Adams was born January 15, 1928 in Carolina, Puerto Rico, daughter of Jose and Esperanza (Calderon) Rivera. She died July 12, 2013 in Inverness, FL. She worked as an x-ray technician and moved to Inverness, Florida from Brooklyn, NY in 1982. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles and reading. Mrs. Adams was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dolores Marvelli. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Guillermo Adams of Inverness, 2 daughters, Edna (Kevin) Moroney of Valley Cottage, NY and Evelyn (James) Williams of Inverness, brother, Jose Rivera of NY, sister, Maria Perez of Bayshore, NY, 4 grandchildren, Angeline Williams, Arlene Yager, Hope (Michael) Werner and Diana Moroney and 4 great grandchildren, Richard Reynolds, Shaun Yager, Nicholas Werner and Matthew Werner.
