Clifford "Dale" Shively, 95, Inverness, died July 28, 2013, under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Dale was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Royal and Della (Culver) Shively. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed by Kysor Heater Corp. (now Borg-Warner Corp) for many years. Dale was a member of Floral City United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and golf.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Terry L. (Emma) Shively, Floral City; his daughter, Sandra (Larry) Phillips, Inverness; sisters, Grace Collier, Gladis Larson, Ona Greenman; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Lorene, Feb. 23, 2012; and a grandson, Ben Shively.
A celebration of Dale's life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory with Pastor Mary Gestrich officiating.
