To Christy's family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your dear Christy. I worked in Xavier's marketing office when Christy was working there part time. She was such a beautiful person inside and out and always seemed so calm about everything, even when things were crazy. She always stopped by to chat and since I was from Dayton and she attended UD, we had something in common. I've been retired from Xavier for four years, however, I haven't forgotten some of those special people in the office. And Christy was one of those people -- such a remarkable and talented woman. I have two of the beautiful purses she made for me. I wish you peace at this difficult time.

Amazing the lives Christy touched. The support for the Schmitt/ BArford was shown last night and today with all the people that showed up at the visitation and also filled the church for the service today! The St Ignatius family will remain strong, even after losing a valuable member.

I worked with Christy for a short time at XU Office of Univ. Communications. She was very sweet and kind. We bonded over living on the westside. It was evident with the pictures around her desk how much she loved her family. Even though I barely knew her I am saddened to hear about this and praying for your family in this difficult time.
