She was a "one-of-a-kind," sophisticated woman of the WWII generation with boundless energy, a love of life, a most generous heart, and was a great inspiration to her family and friends. When I was trying to reconnect with her son Dean, who was my best friend at Notre Dame, she was very kind and helpful to me, and we had a long conversation. I am so grateful for her thoughtfulness and her understanding of my friendship with Dean. I pray that she, her husband Jerry, and Dean, now have the joy of being sheltered in God's eternal love.

Blessings and prayers go out in honor of your great Mother (as you all called her). Our Fairbanks family shares in the great memories of D Street, New London, and St. Pete's. May she and Jerry, Dean and Tina, rest in peace.

Dear Mike, Maggie, and the entire Ryan Clan,
We send you our deepest sympathy and love in honoring your incredibly special Mother. Amy Ryan was a woman of deep and abiding faith who lead her family by example with wit, and passion, and love beyond measure. Her loyalty was boundless, and her credo was God, Family, Country and Notre Dame. Amy, we will miss all the roadtrips and the adventures that we were privy to share with you, but our lives are richer because of your presence. Safe home, dear friend,

Although I never had the pleasure of getting to know your mother personally, I heard many great stories of her over the years and enjoyed meeting her on several joyful occasions. What a presence and influence she was in all of your lives. She leaves quite a legacy! Love, hugs, and comfort to all of you and your extended families. Judy Woomer Keating
