Raleigh, age 91, Beloved husband of the late Adell Bowling (nee East). Loving father of James (Sherry). Devoted grandfather of Michelle Bowling. Step-father of Imogeane Fitch, Syble Mullinax, Ray Moon. Dear brother of Opal, Herman (Hattie), Zola (Doylewalls), and the late Everett, Hazel, Zona, Raymond. Will be cherished by many nieces and nephews. Raleigh was an incredibly good and kind man, and was loved by all who met and knew him. He grew up in Bowlingtown, KY, named for his family. He served his country bravely in World War II and was awarded the bronze star. He worked for Baldwin Piano as a carpenter for over 30 years where he also served a union president. During his retirment, he enjoyed watching sports with his son, James and spending time with his family. He was very proud of his son James, wife Sherry and grandaughter Michelle. He also felt blessed to have such a close knit relationship with his brother and sisters who always look out for each other. The Visitation will be at Staley Funeral Home, 7140 Plainfield Rd., Deer Park; Monday 24th at 11am followed by the service at 1pm.
