Margaret "Maggie" Hartung, age 27, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Born on May 17, 1986 in Newton, NJ, Maggie graduated from Mother of Mercy High School in Cincinnati and received her BA in Strategic Communications from The Ohio State University
in 2008. While at OSU she served as President and Vice President of Alpha Phi Sorority. She was employed as the Private Dining Coordinator for Mitchell's Steakhouse in Columbus. Maggie's natural talent for drama, coupled with an adventurous spirit, led her to skydiving, kayaking and lots of travel. She especially loved Florida and the Caribbean where she could bask in the sunshine. Golfing and cooking were other avid interests. Her favorite thing to do was cook for her family and friends. Maggie's baby doll eyes, contagious smile, and loving heart will be tremendously missed. Maggie is survived by her parents, John and Laura Hartung; brother, Ben (Jessyca) Hartung; nephew, Patrick; and the love of her life, Andy Kuss. She is also survived by uncles Peter Heil of Nashville, TN; Michael, William and Roger Heil of Austin, TX; Andrew Heil of York, PA; her aunt and uncle, Pamela and Ronald Chojecki and cousin Emily in Valparaiso, IN. Maggie will also be missed by Andy's family as well as her beloved dog, Abbie, and a host of great friends and co-workers. A Memorial Service for Maggie in the Columbus area will begin at 7pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085 where the family will receive friends from 5pm until the time of service. Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. A funeral mass will be held in Cincinnati at 11am on Friday, February 7, 2014 at OUR LADY of the VISITATION Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 9am until the time of service.
