Richard K., 90 years old, passed away at his residence on January 16, 2014. Richard was the son of the late Flora Benz Williams and the late Charles E. Williams. He lived in Hyde Park, Kenwood, and One Lytle Downtown his entire life except for his service in the U.S. Air Force, where he received 7 Bronze Stars
and the Distinguished Unit Citation in WWII in the European Theatre. He was in the Normandy Battle during the Second World War at Normandy, Rome-Arno, Northern France, Rhineland, Southern France, Central Europe, and the Ardennes, receiving 7 Bronze Stars and the Presidential Unit Citation. He loved his business in woodworking, extending 57 years. He had several other businesses at Oakley Square over the years. He had many hobbies. He and his wife, La Roma Dee were world travelers, having visited all 7 continents, 187 countries, and all 50 states. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, La Roma Dee Gaver Williams, sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams, niece, Sue Williams Brown and nephew, Charles Williams. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother, in addition to his parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25th from 1 PM until time of Funeral Service at 2 PM at the Cedars of Lebanon Chapel at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45232.
