On Jan. 22, 1949, Robert Earl Payton was born to Alice Jane Brown and Earl Payton in Pomona, California. He lost his fight to cancer in Largo, Florida, on April 11, 2013. 'Bobby' grew up in Ohio with his siblings - Abbie, Richard, Ronald, and Ray. In 1971 he became a Cincinnati Police officer
. After being injured in an auto accident Bob retired. He and his family decided to "leave winter behind" and they moved to Florida in 1997. He enjoyed living in "The Sunshine State" but went back 'up north' to visit friends and family as often as possible. Bob had a great sense of humor and always said, "Every day above ground is a good one." Bob was extremely happy when he became the grandfather of Sara and Emily. He was so very proud of all of his family and loved each one very deeply. He leaves behind Betty, their two children - Brenda and Brian, two granddaughters, and his four siblings and their families. We will ALL miss him and his great sense of humor. In honor of Bob, let's live every day as if it's our last and never forget to tell our loved ones I LOVE YOU.
