Robert Evans Riecks passed into eternity on December 1, 2012. Born in Detroit 1921, he attended Am. School in Tokyo, and graduated from HS at the Am. School in Paris in 1939. He received a BA from Colgate Univ. On May 28, 1943, Robert was appointed as a 2ndLt in the USMCR and designated a Naval Aviator, flying F6F Hellcat in the Pacific Theater as "Admiral Nimitz's Eyes". He married Marilyn Bard (Detroit) in Pensacola, FL. He received an MBA from Columbia Univ. He and Marilyn moved to Cincinnati, settling in Indian Hill in 1957, where they raised their family. Robert worked at Ford's Auto Transmission Plant in Cin'ti, was a partner in the E.W. Brock Co, and owned the Robert Riecks Co. selling machine tools. They retired to Singer Island, FL in 1978. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn ('97) and son, Peter ('06). He is survived by LtCol Karen Riecks, USMC (Ret); Lauren Cochrane (Van) (now of Colerain Twp) and daughter-in-law, Debbie, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Howard-Price Funeral Home, 754 US Hwy One, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.
