Sam R., devoted father of Debbie (Thomas) Brooks, Diane Jennings, Donna Russo and Sam "Rich" Russo. Loving grandfather of Dominic Erwin, Garrison Jennings, Morgan Jennings, Samantha Brooks and Dakota James. Dear brother of Richard "Dick", Robert, Jerry, Mick, Donny and late Joseph "Jack" Russo. Passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the age of 81. Sam was a retired Colerain Twp. police officer, retired supervisor Hamilton County communication center and Past President F.O.P. #113. A memorial gathering will take place at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd. on Thursday (Feb. 20) from 6-8 p.m. F.O.P #113 and V.F.W. service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at Little Flower Church on Friday at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any animal rescue shelter of your choice. Special condolences may be expressed at www.frederickfh.com

Dear Russo Family,
It is with deep sorrow I have learned of
Sam's passing. I have many fond memories of Sam from my law enforcement days and
as the Watch Commander at Hamilton
County Comm Ctr.
I will always remember Sam at our shift parties and how he brightened our days, on duty and off.
We truly were family then and his loss
is felt as a member of that family.
Sam was one of the best and that's how he will be remembered by those whose
life and heart he touched.
