I only knew Larry by reputation, reading about him during Obama's first campaign. I'm also a Vietnam Vet at Cam Rahn Bay in 1971-'72.
A great man and American Patriot. May he rest in Peace.
My condolence

Dad,
You were supposed to be here in California this wee....we were so looking forward to seeing you. I am still in shock....i cannot believe you are truly gone. I keep waiting for you to call, so we can talk for hours like we always did. A piece of me died with you last month. I love you so much, and think about you everyday. You were my father, friens & hero. I promise to do whatever I need to do to help keep your work moving forward. Love your youngest daughter.... ~Bump~

It was a pleasure meeting Larry and hearing his story. He witnessed Bill Ayers firsthand and documented his experience with the Weather Underground so the rest of us would know the truth and be able to fight against their influence. Thank you Larry for your contribution, I hope we can persevere.

Larry, you were on my mind the past couple days and I was planning on calling you so we could get together like we discussed. I am so privileged to have met you and call you my friend. I called you an American Hero and you still are. No worries, we will pick up the torch my friend. You will not be forgotten. You love God, Jesus was and is your friend. You are in a much better place. New Life will come from your passing. Our Nation is worth fighting for and that you did my friend; you have proven that. You were not a talker... you were a doer!
God Bless you Larry you are Loved and will be missed!

I met Larry four years ago when we participated in a presentation at the National Press Club together in Washington, D.C.
His knowledge of the Weather Underground, gained by his courageous infiltration of that terrorist organization for the FBI, and my experience as a cop who was on the scene of one of the many bombings that they perpetrated gave us a common cause to identify with.
We became good friends and it has been my privilege over the past four years to participate with him in getting the word out about the threats facing this country today.
He was a true American patriot and I'm very saddened that he has passed.
RIP, Larry. You did your duty courageously and tirelessly both in and out of uniform and will be missed.
My condolences to the Grathwohl family and to all of his other friends. May God give you strength in this time of sadness.

I had the great honor of meeting Larry this past April when he was a guest speaker for our TCTPF Meeting here in Summerfield, FLA. I had an opportunity to talk with him about what great service he provided to his country both in the military and with the FBI. Rest in peace Larry and THANK YOU for working to bring our country back. My deepest sympathies to the members of the Grathwohl Family.
