William A., beloved husband of 64 years to Pauline (nee Frey) Reuter. Devoted father of Jim (Tobie Braverman), Don (Gemma Cabacungan) and Jennifer L. Reuter. Grandfather of Miriam, Jeffrey, Rachael, Donald and Jamie. Dear brother of the late Charles Reuter. Passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, age 89. Bill served in the Army Infantry in WWII, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He attended Xavier University on the GI Bill, and upon graduation joined the East Walnut Hills Building & Loan Company in 1949, moved the company to Colerain in 1963, changed its name to Mayflower S & L, and was its president until his retirement in 1996. He played a role in enabling hundreds of families on the West Side to purchase their homes. Bill and Pauline were 60 year members of St. Ann Church. Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Road, on Tuesday (April 22) from 5:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann Church on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ann Church, 2900 W.
