Bruce Le was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on All Saints Day, November 1, 1937. He married the love of his life, Janet Douglas in 1958. They celebrated 55 years of marriage this fall. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati's College of Pharmacy in 1960, and bought Schneider's Pharmacy, the city's oldest drug store from his parents, Eva and Leland Douglas, who were both pharmacists. Bruce was an avid community volunteer, touching the lives of those he met. He served as a Big Brother, coached soccer and basketball for decades, was a founding member of "The James Gang," a service organization, went on many mission trips, and volunteered for years at Stepping Stones. Bruce loved to travel, play golf, carve and spend time with friends, family and God. He was an active prayer warrior. Once you were on his prayer list, you were unlikely to ever get off. He is survived and ever loved by his wife, Janet Douglas (nee Lawson), his three children and their spouses: W. Lori and Eric Koons, Craig and Shelley Douglas, and Scott and Megan Douglas, his five grandchildren: Thlayla, Jesse, Jonah, Elias and Isabelle, and three great grandchildren: Bella, Camden, and Ava. Isla greeted him in heaven. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22nd from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm at Hay Funeral Home, 7312 Beechmont Avenue, 45230. His funeral will take place 2:00 pm, Thurs., Jan. 23rd, at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Cemetery Chapel, 686 Mt. Moriah Drive, 45245.
