Frederick SCHLIMM Obituary
SCHLIMM
Frederick B. 'Fred', beloved husband of Patricia (nee Simon) for 54 years. Loving father of Frederick Jr. (Patricia), Maryann Gamel (Jim), Margaret Garbsch (Ken), Joseph (Jenny), Christopher (Jennifer), and Steven (Beverly). Proud grandfather of 25, and great grandfather of 9. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Nellie, and sister Hilda Dinsmore. Loving brother of Bernice Prenting and Mary Lou Price and dear friend of Donna Biehl. Lifelong educator and former president of Cincinnati Technical College (now known as Cincinnati State) from 1976 until 1989. Passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Fred donated his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Visitation on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 4366 Bridgetown Road from 8:30AM until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Aloysius Gonzaga Tuition Aid Fund or the charity of one's choice.

Our heartfelt sympathy for your family ~ Mr. Schlimm was my dad's boss and mentor for many years at CTC. I attended there also and remember him fondly. He was a great example and wonderful leader. We are very sorry for your loss. What a wonderful man.

Dad, It is now 6 days since your passing and I think it is starting to sink in on me. We are back in Maryland now having driven 1000 miles round trip; managed to get Hillary and Katherine back and forth from IU Bloomington safely in this same time frame; participated in all preparation,family gatherings, services and receptions; and now I sit back home without ever having stopped thinking of you this entire time. I am everyting I am because of your example, motivation, support and inspiration. I promise you that your legacy and goodness will live on through my family and I and the extended Schlimm family. You will be missed terribly but I find peace in knowing your suffering is over. I will miss your voice answering the phone when I call and our conversations about sports, politics and the family.

I graduated from Mercy in 1969 and Mr. Sclimm came to school to talk about the new CCST and computer progamming. I have been in the business ever since.
