DRACKETT

Jeanne (nee Herbstriet) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Naples, Florida died peacefully at her home in Naples at the age of 102 after a long and fulfilling life.

Jeanne was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. William James Herbstriet of Cincinnati and the widow of Roger Drackett.

Jeanne attended Hyde Park Elementary School, The University School, Bradford Junior College and University of Wisconsin where she was a Kappa Alpha Theta. She met Roger Drackett in Cincinnati and they married in November of 1935. Roger joined his father and grandfather as an employee of the Drackett Company, later becoming President and Chairman of the Board. Throughout Roger's career Jeanne was a supportive wife and mother of their 3 children. Jeanne and Roger were actively philanthropic in a number of areas including; music, medicine, education, environmental conservation and the arts. Jeanne was predeceased by Roger in 1984.

Jeanne had an indomitable strength of character and will long be remembered for her generosity, her wit and wisdom, her sense of fun and hospitality, and her positive outlook on life. She enjoyed entertaining, travel, music, family and was an avid wordsmith. She continued to pursue her passion for the arts by serving as a Charter Member on the Board of the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts.

She is survived by two daughters; Cecile Allyn of Cincinnati, OH and Sallie Van Rensselaer of Hobe Sound, FL and Little Compton, RI, and a son, Dan Drackett of Hailey, ID. Jeanne also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the school founded by the late Erich Kunzel; The School for Creative and Performing Arts, 108 West Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH. 45202.

A private ceremony will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
