Phyllis Ann, daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin Hoyer and the late Mabel ((Krause) Hoyer. born July 14, 1928 died September 27, 2011. Survived by brother Roger, sister-in-law Sally (Crumrine), nephews Steven (DiAnn) and Andrew (Kara) Hoyer, niece Laura Hoyer (John Klug), Lynn H. Smith (Jerry), Amy H. Schrameck, Jayne H. Bellm (Todd) and many other nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Graduated from University of Cincinnati School of Home Economics, 1950. Worked as a Medical Secretary for 30 years for her father and an allergy clinic after he retired. Life long member of Mt. Auburn Presbyterian Church serving as Deacon, Trustee, Elder and a member and Secretary of the church's Presbyterian Women. Received recognition from the National Presbyterian Women. Sang in the choir for over 30 years and with another church member, counted the money after Worship for the Church Treasurer, also for many years. She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority at U.C. serving as Recording and Corresponding Secretary, Aglaia Reporter, historian, house chairman and Trustee. After graduation she hosted many Phi Mu Collegiate Alumni meetings, served several years as Alumni Treasurer, Vice President/Social Service, Aglaia Reporter, Recording Secretary, member of numerous committees and member of Trestella. Recognized as Phi Mu of the Year in 1993. She was an active member of Pilot International, a business and professional women's service organization. President twice, Vice President for two years, co-chairman of the district conventions in 1980 and 1982, Secretary several times and a Director. Memorials may be made to the Hyde Park Health Center, 4001 Rosslyn Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45209 or EverCare Hospice & Palliative Care, 9050 Centre Pointe Drive, Suite 400, West Chester, OH 45069.

I remember how kind Phyllis was to me as a child when I visited her dad, Dr. Benjamin Hoyer. Going to the doctor was always scary!!
