Obituary

HUBER Charles Herbert, age 73, born July 14, 1929, Dayton, Ohio. Charlesattended E.J. Brown, Colonel White and Oakwood schools, also NorthwesternUniversity. He entered the building business while still in school. Hisfather, Herbert C. Huber, was the largest builder in Montgomery County untilhis death in 1954, having developed large sections of Riverdale, DaytonView, Oakwood and Kettering. Charles Huber built approximately 27,000houses, apartments and condos in Huber Heights as well as Cincinnati,Columbus, Indianapolis, Fort Lauderdale, Phoenix, and Atlanta. He becamepresident of Huber Homes, Inc., one of the top 1% of volume residentialbuilders in the United States while still in his twenties. More recently hebecame president of Huber Investment Corporation which owns and manages 2000rental properties in five states. He belongs to no organizations or clubs.He has won several national awards for his building activities. During thedevelopment of Huber Heights, as well as in oher cities, Charles Huberdonated several million dollars worth of land for schools, parks, churches,and playgrounds. Preceded in death by his son, David Charles Huber; Survivedby his loving wife, Teresa (Arndts) Huber; his son, Charles H. and wife,Vicki Huber of FL; two daughters, Christie and husband, Tom Proctor of FL andCheri and husband, Rick Ohmer of Oakwood; five granddaughters and two grandsons;sister Marilyn Holland (James Arndts) of Kettering, Dorthea Bowers of FL,Corrine Huber of Dayton and brother, Donald and wife, Roni Huber of Dayton.Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2 at 10 A.M. at St. PetersCatholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Rd., Huber Heights, with Father Earl F.Simone officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery. Family will receive friendsSunday, from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd.,Kettering, OH 45429.
