Sr. M. Norah Michael, O.Carm. A member of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm for 48 years passed away peacefully on May 1, 2011 after a long illness. She spent her life ministering to the elderly as both nurse and administrator in various nursing homes in the U.S, including several in New York City. In January 2001 she was assigned to St. Margaret Hall in Cincinnati, OH where she served as the administrator until her death. She is survived by her beloved sister, Martha Sieger, brother-in-law, Joseph, sister-in-law, Pat, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Sr. Norah is the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Norah (nee Horgan) McNamara, and loving sister of the late Brendan, Chris, and John, and sisters-in-law Ann and Ruth. Visitation will be held at St. Margaret Hall, 1960 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH Wednesday, May 4 from 2-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 5 at 11:00am. There will also be Visitati on at St. Teresa's Motherhouse, 600 Woods Rd., Germantown, NY on Saturday, May 7th at 10 a.m. and a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Queen of Carmel Cemetery.
