SOWDER Mr. Roger Dale, 47 of Russell Springs, KY died Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on April 18, 1955 in Franklin County, Indiana the son of Jim and Doris Kirby Sowder. He had been a general laborer and a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ in Milford, Ohio. Survivors are: His wife, Mrs. Patty White Sowder of Russell Springs, KY. Two daughters; Angie Sowder and Chastity Melson both of Russell Springs. Three brothers; Jim Sowder of Arlington Heights, OH, Ricky and Stevie Sowder both of Lockland, OH. Five sisters; Joyce McFarland and Patricia Coffey both of Russell Springs, Shelia Stone of Milford, OH, Rhonda McFerron of Brodhead, KY and Stephanie Nelson of Lockland, OH. One granddaughter; Brianna Melson who knew her grandfather as "Pappy'. Funeral services for Mr. Roger D. Sowder will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at 2 P.M. at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Hasty officiating. Burial will followin the Roberts Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may call after 12 Noon on Tuesday.
