Herman BRYANT Jr.

BRYANT Herman, Jr. was born on August 19, 1917 in Bidwell, Ohio to the late Herman V. Sr. and Mildred Cordell Bryant and departed this life on July 19, 2001. As a prominent figure in Cincinnati, he served many years and touched many lives as a Principal and Administrator for the Cincinnati Public School System. He later became an Attorney at Law for the State of Ohio. Herman was a faithful member of United Christian Church where his grandfather W. W. Cordell, as part of the founding family, served as pastor for many years. Herman was also very active in numerous Christian, community and political organizations and in each primarily focused on ways to improve the lives and character of area youth. This love for young people led him to organize the Findlay Street Boxing Club where he became close friends with legendary boxer, Ezzard Charles. Herman inherited an intense love of music from his family and in his earlier years spent hours playing both the saxophone and piano with late brothers Rusty and Paul Bryant. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Euris Bryant, whom he married on August 5, 1956; daughter Joy Bryant, sister Martha McCarroll; granddaughter Savannah Bryant and a host of other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2001, 11 A.M. at Tri-County Assembly of God, Dixie Highway, Fairfield, Ohio with Reverend Brad Rosenberg Officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 2001 from 6-8 P.M. at Tri-County Assembly of God. Interment at Union Baptist Cemetery.
