Walton J., age 93, of Hamilton died October 16, 2011, the 63rd anniversary of his marriage to his North Star and true love, Elaine; survived by children, Jay (Susan Krauss) and Elisa Wuebbold Williams. A graduate of Hamilton High and University of Notre Dame, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-45 in the Pacific Theater, reaching the rank of lieutenant (jg). He joined his father, Herman, at Wuebbold & Co., a bookbinding and office supply concern. Over the next 25 years, the business expanded into printing and office furniture sales, with outposts in Cincinnati, Lockland and Darrtown. He sold the business in 1973 to develop residential and commercial real estate. Active in Rotary, he loved planting trees and toasting sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. Preceded in death by Herman; his mother, Irene (Dister); sister, Elaine Broeman; and constellation of friends. Survivors include granddaughters Lauren Kellum (Kyle); Aiden Williams and Elizabeth Zi Wuebbold; great granddaughter Evelyn Kellum; nieces Gretchen Broeman and Ann Miller (Al); nephews Peter Broman and Tom Brown (Margaret), and delightful great nieces and a great nephew. Visitation will be Friday, 9 a.m., St. Peter in Chains, 382 Liberty, Hamilton, OH 45013; Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Peter.
