Dargatz

Richard C., beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Laukhuf) for 52 years, devoted father of Gretchen (Janne) Dargatz, Emily (Larry) Greer and Eric (Pam) Dargatz, cherished grandfather of Greg, Darcy, Ashley, Luka, Jason, Joey, Runa and Danny, loving brother of Miriam (Charles) Simmons. Preceded in death by his parents Carl and Elizabeth (Boerger) Dargatz and sister Beverly Brandt. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lucile Shealy, other family members and numerous friends. Passed away unexpectedly on January 18th at the age of 76. Richard was a minister for 26 years, having served in both Wisconsin and Ohio, most recently at Atonement Lutheran Church in Springdale, Ohio. Despite battling Parkinson's Disease for a decade, Dick maintained an active lifestyle which included trips throughout the United States, frequent games of scrabble and cribbage, and fun times with friends and family. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, January 22nd from 12:30-2:30PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236). The memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, January 23rd at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7701 Kenwood Rd. (45236), with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's memory to Good Shepard Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice.
