Albert MEYER Obituary



MEYER

Albert Meyer, Navy WWII veteran, organist, carilloneer, and retired engineer from Baldwin Organ Co., passed away peacefully at his home in El Cerrito, CA on December 29, 2012.

For most of his life a resident of Deer Park, Ohio, in 2008 Albert moved to California under the care of his loving sister Charlotte Ertel, after he became blind from complications resulting from diabetes and dialysis treatment. He is survived by his sister Charlotte, and 6 nieces and nephews.

Albert will be buried with Navy Honor Guard on Saturday morning January 12th at 11 AM at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Rd. Richard Gegner and Rick Watson, long-time friends of Albert and fellow carilloneer at the Mary M. Emery Memorial Carillon, will dedicate their 4 PM performance on Sunday, January 13th in the honor of Albert Meyer. The carillon is located in Dogwood Park, Mariemont, Ohio. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
