James Charles, 86, of Anna Maria Florida and Cincinnati, died peacefully April 16, 2013. A Navy veteran of WWII, he was 36 years with the Tresler Oil Co. retiring as President and Director. He was a former president of the Ohio Petroleum Marketers association and a Charter member of The Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America. He was also a member of the Petroleum Industry 25 Year Club. Jim co-founded several successful petroleum distribution companies as well as other related businesses. He was a leading authority and consultant to government, the oil industry and independent oil companies throughout the region. Jim was active in numerous charitable and civic causes including, past- president of the Cincinnati March of Dimes, Board member Santa Maria Community Services, President of the Ault Park Advisory Council, and the Advisory Board of St. Ursula Academy. He was a lifelong member of Christ the King Parish and served as president of the parish council and the writer-director of its parish show "Hits and Misses ". Survivors include his beloved wife of over 65 years Dorothy Meyer Krumme, his children, James M. (Jon Garrison), Mark C. (Linda), Lindy Bullard, Anne Richardson(Peter ) of Connecticut, Margie Dines (David) of Minneapolis , Andrew H. (Clare) and Ellen Slattery (Robert) as well as 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Church, Saturday, April 20 at 10:00am.
