Andrew Jacob (Andy), 84 passed away on September 16, 2013. Born on January 9, 1929 to Ferdinand and Colletta (Daeschle) Hoffman in Jasper, Indiana. Survived by Mary Beth (Stenger) Hoffman his wife of 55 years, two children Amy (Mark) Schoelwer, Huron, Ohio and Tony (Jo) Hoffman, Cincinnati and five grandchildren, Matt, Benn, Sarah Schoelwer, and Hunter and Hope Hoffman. Andy was a graduate of Jasper High School and Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chicago. He was a licensed embalmer and funeral director, as well as a retail clothier. Mr. Hoffman moved to Cincinnati in 1966 when Kenwood Mall opened and managed Roderick St. John until 1990 when the store moved to The Kenwood Towne Center. After he retired he worked with Jeff Cahall at Crosleys and later with Mike and Mark Folchi at Folchi's Formal and Mensware. He was past president of the Kenwood Mall Merchants Association, member of the Jasper Northeast Side Exchange Club, Knights of Columbus, and a veteran of the Korean War. He loved sports in every aspect including playing basketball and baseball, coaching baseball, attending Reds and Bengals games and tailgating at Miami University. He loved entertaining people telling jokes. Visitation will be held Friday, September 20 from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Savior Catholic Church.
