John. Beloved husband of Patsy (DuBois) Habig. Dear father of Rachelle (Pete) White, John (Ada) Habig Jr., Kimberly (Arthur) Zimmerman and the late Scott Michael Habig. Loving grandfather of Jeff, Jennifer and Beth Joyner; Amber, John and Ashley Habig; Scott and Matthew Zimmerman and Christina Gibson. Father in law of the late Tom Joyner. Devoted brother of Robert Habig, Mary Hauser and the late Melrose Kitchen, Verna Laney and William Habig. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Age 89 years. Resident of Fairfield, OH. Mr. Habig served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and was a member of American Legion Wesley Werner Post 513 where he served on the honor guard; VFW Post 1069; the Elks; Former charter member of Miami View Golf Club; The Silver Wings Fraternity; Lifetime Charter Member of the National WWII Memorial and was a Kentucky Colonel. A Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Road, Fairfield, OH on Monday, August 4 from 9 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Fr. Larry Tharp, Officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph (Old) Mausoleum, Price Hill. Memorials may be directed to The American Legion Wesley Werner Post 513; VFW Post 1069; The or Hospice of Cincinnati. Paul R.
