Dear Suzanne. I just found out that John is no longer with us. I am very sorry and sorry to have been away for so long and not to have been in contact. I want you to know that John's words of encouragement have always been with me, without his support I would not have fulfilled my dream. I'm really sorry. Greetings, José

Dear Suzanne and the rest of John's family, Shocking and very sad. I cherish memories of all the fun we had together in Cambridge (UK) between 1981 and 1983, and subsequently. I will always remember John as a "larger than life" companion, raconteur, excellent inspirational scientist, wit, after-dinner speaker, devoted family guy, and dangerous downhill skier! Suzanne I hope you don't me attaching an old photo of you and John I took at your folks' place near Boston during a happy weekend I spent with you (Feb. 1984?).

It is with great sadness that I read of John's passing. I served with him on the National Alzheimer's Board for 8 great and productive years. He shall be missed by so many of us.
