In his earlier days with the Florida Legislature and my beginning days working on education issues, Dave was an excellent teacher for me. His counsel to me was always helpful and on the mark.

Dave,
You have been a real good friend to us and we will miss you. We always remember the Blackwater Canoe trip and how you made the "best coffee".
Your sense of humor always made us laugh.
