Byron, Ga. - Daisy Lee Banks Coleman, 77, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 24, 2012, in the Chapel of Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron. Burial will be private. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, November 23, 2012, at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. Family may be contacted at 149 Tyler Drive in Byron. Born in Ashville, North Carolina, to the late Grady M. Banks Sr. and Gladys Neighbors Banks, Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and drawing. She loved her grandchildren, they meant the world to her, and loved watching them dance and participate in sports. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James C. Coleman, their children, Brenda (John) Swank and Ricky (Shelia) Coleman, all of Macon, grandchildren, Christie (Klint) Rooks of Fort Valley, Carissa Coleman, Ricky Coleman Jr., and Lisa Rice, all of Macon and Amber Swank of Breman, greatgrandchildren, Kyla Rooks, Khloe Rooks, Jacob Swank Johnson, and Brandi Swank, sisters, Geraldine (Kermit) Smith and Irma Shipman, and a brother, Arnold Richard Banks, all of Ashville, NC and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Grady M. Banks Jr., Leroy Banks, and Donald Banks, and sisters, Margie Ann Banks and Betty Jean Jenkins.
