His sense of humor and the friendship during our time we served in the Navy together on the Island of Bermuda. His dear wife Myrtle offered a friendship to my wife Janice. We loved Dick and Myrtle. It was a real Joy to learn Dick (from my home town) in NC was there to be friends. Our thoughts are with the family.
