Annabelle Linn

Fairview - Annabelle Lee Weinkle Linn, a long time resident of Fairview, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Linn was born in Detroit, MI and was a daughter of the late Leo and Katherine Trail Weinkle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ted Linn and her brother, Emanuel (Manny) Weinkle.

Mrs. Linn was known as a breeder of champion Siberian Huskies, and as the person who introduced the breed Chinese Shar-Pei to the US, and as a friend to all animals.

She is survived by her children, Louis Linn and his wife, Frances, Patricia Lipsey, and Don Linn and his wife, Susan; a brother, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Robert K. Weinkle and his wife, Beverly; grandchildren, Maria (Glenn) Miller, Ted (Cherie) Linn, Spencer (Alexis) Linn, Seth Linn, Samuel Linn, Marjorie (Stephan) Benzkofer, Jim Lipsey, Katherine Lipsey, Ryan Linn and Melissa (Kevin) Van Gorder; eight great-grandchildren, and longtime friend, Brenda Boone.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Chaplain Robert Teague officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
