She had a passion for helping others; she served as a guardian ad litem in Asheville. As a young adult Connie traveled the world for 2 years, volunteering and exploring. In recent years she regularly visited the Provence region of France with her husband, Ed.

She is also survived by her mother, Barbara (Bunny) Flippo; brother, Jeff Flippo; and many family members and dear friends.
A service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday January 19 at 3 PM at the Unity Center, 2041 Old Fanning Bridge Rd., Mills River, NC 28759 (close to the Asheville Airport). Connie asked that all those attending wear bright, joyful colors if able.
