Asheville - Jeanne Louise Renee Fowler, 73, wife of Chief Master Sergeant Larry E. Fowler, (USAF, Ret.), died Sunday, August 18, 2013, at her home in Asheville.
Mrs. Fowler was born In France and traveled the world with her husband as an Air Force wife.
In 1983 and 1984 she worked with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) assisting Haitian immigrants in South Florida. In Asheville she was a member of American Legion Post 2 Auxiliary and VFW
Post 891 Auxiliary.
She retired from the Biltmore Estate where she served as a winery hostess.
In addition to her husband, Larry, she is survived by a son, Patrick Larry Fowler and his wife Jo.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Austin officiating. Private interment will follow at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made payable to Larry Fowler, who will divide the contributions between the Wounded Warrior Foundation, the American Legion, the VFW, and the DAV.
